I haven't posted in a few weeks, but I have been using my one-word project excessively. Last week was exam week and I had to practice willpower to get through the endless mount of studying that I had to do in order to get the grades that I wanted to finish up the semester with. It is always tough to have to force myself to sit down and go over the same material over and over, but I focused on my goal of finishing the semester with all A's and I used my willpower to keep studying. I ended up getting 3 A's and 3 B's on my exams and finished the semester with all A's, like I had wanted. Exam week showed me what can be accomplished if you want something to happen badly enough.
This week has been relatively uneventful as far as using willpower goes. I have had about the same amount of homework this week as last, but I have gotten back on track with my projects and whatnot. I have used willpower mostly the same way as I have been- which is simply to stay focused on my homework and to not shirk my responsibilities.
This week I have used willpower quite a bit. What with break coming up very soon and exams following shortly after, my teachers all seem to be scrambling to get everything done that is required. This has lead to a significant rise in homework, and I have working very hard to stay on top of everything. I have used willpower this week to keep up on my reading for A Day No Pigs Would Die and also with notes for Biology and Economics. It has been quite difficult, but I continue to think back on my word and remember that with a little willpower, I will be able to get good grades and accomplish my goals.
This week, I have used willpower to help me finish something for my Economics project. I tasked myself with writing a program to demonstrate the abilities of our "business", and it has been quite difficult to finish. I have had to force myself to stay up very late more than once in order to keep up on the due date. The same can be said about the most recent Biology project, which required me to write up a report for an experiment we cond
Willpower has affected me this week in a few different ways. The most prevalent way that I was affected was on Thanksgiving, when I had to help my mom cook the meal before half-time of the Lions/Packers game. The goal was that we would all eat during half -time so that we didn't have to miss much of the second half. I used willpower to help myself stay focused on preparing the food as quickly as possible, even though I would have much rather been watching the game!
Willpower has played a large role in my life in the past few weeks. Last week I had fallen behind in my school work in a couple of my classes, and I was forced to spend some a lot of my time working through difficult projects into the wee hours of the night. I had to use willpower to force myself to keep working, even though I desperately wanted to just stop and play video games or go to bed. I am glad that I did power through though, because I was able to maintain my grades and I am pleased with them overall.
